This is a cat on Prozac. Our vet suggested it because MJ is attacking another of our cats, Louisa May, who is living under our bed, afraid to come out. We make sure she has food and water, as well as a litter box next to my night table. The main litter boxes are on the other side of the house, and Louisa isn’t going to venture that far for now. My hope is that as she continues to grow she’ll gain more confidence to confront and resist MJ. We have two other cats, Socrates and Jane Austen, whom MJ leaves alone since they are older and larger than she is. Her need to dominate only applies to little Louisa, whom my wife found huddled under a bush at church over the winter. The Prozac relaxes MJ and seems to help. My wife gives her a piece of a pill hidden in a bit of food called a Pill Pocket. If only animals didn’t need to be the Alpha, our house would be quieter. If humans didn’t need to be the Alpha, the world would be quieter too.

I just found this post due to a search on “cats on prozac.” The vet suggested one of our cats be put on Prozac because she attacks our other female cat (who is older and gives it back to her most of the time). Anyway, I would like to know how your situation turned out, if you care to indulge. Thanks!
Things got worse, and we had to have this cat put to sleep last year. It was very sad.
