I stopped in at Flowers & Such this morning, one of many businesses on South Main who are impacted by the road construction.  I dropped off an audio CD of last Sunday’s worship service along with a bulletin.  The owner’s mother is a member of our congregation, although she now lives in a care facility near Ann Arbor.  We send her a copy of the service each week so she can stay connected.  Sometimes when you are going down South Main now it’s hard to know which orange barrels to turn at to find your store; Flowers & Such has decorated their barrels with colorful ribbons so you know how to thread your way into their parking lot.  A great idea.

We’ve been making sure to frequent businesses on South Main.  This will be a difficult summer for them.  It looks like the workers are doing lots of infrastructure work under the road itself before grading and repaving.  This picture appears to be water or sewer system work in front of the Cancun Restaurant.
