Last weekend a few of us went up to the Mackinac Bridge for the annual walk. The bridge was built in the 1950s, and it spans the Straits of Mackinac. The bridge connects the lower and upper parts of the State of Michigan. It’s about 5 miles (8 K) across. It was great fun, although a bit chilly and windy. This freighter passed right underneath us on its way into Lake Huron.
